We were quite saddened to hear of Donnie's passing. My husband Pierce worked beside Donnie at CP Rail for 25 years. Donnie was always happy and very kind. Whenever we came to The Cape Shore Donnie was always Pierce's first visit. If not for Pierce being away at work in the US we would like to have attended his service. May his gentle soul rest in peace. Our heartfelt sympathy to his family.

My sincere condolences to the Mooney family on Donnie’s passing into the Afterlife. I was very fortunate to have been able to connect with Donnie after his cancer diagnosis and to spend time with him recently in his home during his last days. I have always admired Donnie for his strong work ethic and for the love and respect he had for his parents, Uncle Alf and Aunt Lizzie but over the past year during phone conversations and more recently during visits, I became aware of his deep sense of spirituality that has always been a large part of who he was. He will always hold a special place in my heart.

I’m so sorry to hear the news of Donnie’s passing. We worked together many years at CP Rail. I have many fond memories of our time together. Donnie was a hard worker who took much pride in the work he did. He was very dedicated to the years he served at CP Rail and showed up to work every day with much enthusiasm. It was obvious what strong faith Donnie had. As he would go the extra mile to attend church while working away. Donnie always showed kindness to those he met. The world is a better place because he was in it. My condolences to his family. RIP my friend. I have no doubt you are in the arms of your love ones.
