Cooney, Georgina... It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our strong and loving mother Georgina (Whittle) Cooney age 70 years. She passed away peacefully on Sunday March 12, 2017 at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital. She is predeceased by her mother and father William and Anna Whittle, brother Joseph Whittle, nephew J.R. Brooks, and niece AnnMarie Brooks Cleary, who undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms. Leaving behind with cherished and loving memories are her daughters Renee (Corey), Charmaine (Ken), and Michelle, the light of her life, her grandchildren Katelyn and Lucas, her brothers and sisters Bill (Molly), Greg (Patsy), Dan (Angela), Gary, Theresa (Art), Barbara (Phonse), Doris (John, deceased), Dorothy (Wayne, deceased) and Cathy (Rob), sister in law Hilda, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, including her dialysis family, and many wonderful friends. Resting at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia on Tuesday March 14, from 2:00 - 8:00, Wednesday March 15, from 2:00 - 9:00, and Thursday from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place on Thursday March16, 2017 at Sacred Heart Church, Placentia at 2:30 p.m.Interment to follow in Coombs Memorial Cemetery, Southeast.
