Thinking of you and your family Vera and my deepest condolences on Kevin’s passing. I am so sorry as I know how great a loss he is to you, your children and granddaughter. Kevin was the epitome of a family man, kindness and calm. He was always the gentleman, always willing to share his music for which ever group needed him. Always happy in the background doing his thing, but yet such a major part of whatever he was involved in. You both were wonderful friends and neighbours on Power Street for so many years. Sending much love to you, Francis and Bridget, Katie, Joshua and your granddaughter Ellie. Rest in Peace Kevin my friend.

Vera & Family, Please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of your dear loved one. Kevin inspired many young students to do their best in his professional career as a High School teacher. He was an intelligent, kind and caring teacher who worked hard to help his students complete their studies. Our daughters always spoke highly of Mr. Mccarthy. I am sure he will be dearly missed. Vera, Francis, Katie and Josh, I am sending along my most heartfelt condolences to you on the passing of Kevin. I have so many wonderful memories of Kevin . I first met him as my high school chemistry and math teacher at St. Anne’s Academy , where he epitomized professionalism, love of learning and most of all patience . At school he also provided opportunities for students to participate in music. One of my favourite memories in school was being in a band created by Kevin, called The St. Anne’s Smurfers.” After high school , i got to reconnect with Kevin at Peter and Leeann’s . The highlight at various family events would be when Kevin and his guitar eventually made an appearance. Then the music and laughter ensued . Vera and family I am sending you all my love to you on your unimaginable loss . I hope that eventually you can find some comfort in the fact that Kevin left an indelible mark on those of us who knew him .

Mrs. McCarthy and family, I am so sad to hear of Mr. McCarthy was one of the greatest teachers at St. Anne's. He taught me math in gr 12 and would often stay after school to help me understand trigonometry. His help and patience have never been forgotten. My condolences to you all.
