Please share a memory of Gordon to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with great sadness that the Murphy family announces the passing of Gordon John Murphy, aged 77, on September 28th, 2022, after a long but valiant battle with cancer.
Gordon was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and foster parent, and a man who was admired and well respected by his friends and peers.
Gordon is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Irene, his children Gordon, Lisa (Thomas), Cindy, Anthony (Krista), and Alyssa (Kevin), his grandchildren Stephanie, Liam, Gavin, Delaney, Ebyni, Eli, Emmett, and Finn, his siblings Elizabeth, Mary, Shirley, and Edward, his nieces and nephews, special friends Bill Power, Al and Annie Parsons, and Frank and Cecelia Moore, and his treasured pets, Mutt, Minnie, and Little White Cat. Gordon is predeceased by his father Patrick, his mother Jane-Ann, his brothers Patrick and Thomas, and his sisters Sylvia and Constance.
Gordon was a life-long resident of Ship Harbour. He was a man whom many sought for his knowledge and expertise. He was a man who worked hard at everything he did. And he was a man who saw providing for his family not as something he had to do, but as something he was proud to do.
