Obituary of Derek Joseph Coombs

Passed away at the Placentia Health Centre, on Friday, April 23rd, 2021, Derek Joseph Coombs, age 51, of Freshwater, Placentia Bay.
He is predeceased by his father, Thomas; brothers, Richard and Gerard; sisters; Patsy and Rosemary; and his dear friend, Petey Martin.
Derek is lovingly remembered and will be forever missed by his mother, Theresa, whom he adored; brothers, Francis (Jeanette), Peter, Ken (Jocelyn), Tommy (Gladys); sister, Ann Marie Barry (Tom); his nieces and nephews, who were the center of his world and his pride and joy; Andrew Coombs, Jennifer Mulrooney (Darren), Patrick Ennis, Thomas Coombs, Shannon and Laura Rose Barry, Logan and Lacey Mulrooney; cousins; Bill, Jerry and Dan Dunphy; treasured friends, Karen Mulrooney (Kenny), the Griffin family, especially, John and Sandy, Ron and Donnie, Mike Barnett, Laurie Parsons, Dick and Mary Healey. Your friendship meant everything to him.
Derek was a true gentleman. He loved his family and friends above all else. He will be remembered for his love of gardening and the Montreal Canadians as well as his “Uncle Derek jokes”. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
