Passed peacefully  away at his home in Southeast, Placentia , Mr. Arthur W "Joe"  Brooks age 94 years.  Predeceased by his wife Marie of 75 years, daughter Matilda, son Wayne, grandson Wayne Jr. granddaughter AnnMarie, great grandson Seth, niece Bernice Cooney.  He leaves to mourn his children: Shirley (Bob), Bob (Rose), Art (Theresa), Freeman (Melinda), Florence (Pat), Gerard,Sharon (Roger) , Sandra (Jim),  and Hubert,  31 grandchildren 44 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren, a large circle of other relatives and friends.  Resting at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia on Saturday and Sunday from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 -9:00, and on Monday from 12:00 - 2:15, with Funeral Service to take place at Coombs Memorial Chapel on Monday, August 26 at 2:30, with interment to follow in Coombs Memorial Cemetery, Southeast.
