O’Reilly, Michael (Hammer)
March 2nd 1961-April 5th 2019
It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the loss of our beloved father, husband, brother, son-in-law, uncle and best friend. Hammer (Michael) O’Reilly passed away peacefully on April 5th 2019 in his 58th year at his home surrounded by his family and friends that he loved so dear after a courageous fight against cancer. His intelligence, bright personality and fight to live, his contagious smile touched the lives of everyone he met. He was a best friend and selfless husband of Margie (nee Spurvey) of 33 years, cherished father and the loves of his life, his pride and joy, daughter Kaitlyn (Aaron Lee), son Marcus. His new addition, grand puppy Touton. Son-in-law to the woman he loved like a mom, Mary Spurvey (Herb Murray) His brothers whom he treasured and so proud of, Dave (Jeanette), Kevin (Diane), Gerard (Barb), Lee (Miranda), sister Marg Griffin. In laws, Stella Davis (Bill/Best Buddy) , Maurice Spurvey (Charlene), Darlene Earle (Glen), Wanda Duke (Bob), Brother in law, John Boudreau (Doreen). Predeceased by his parents, Carmel and Arthur O’Reilly, brother Anthony, sister Carmel Boudreau. Father-in-law Maurice Spurvey. He will be profoundly missed by his best friend Terry Foley, all his poker buddies, especially Ernie Kelly, and our best friend Sylvia Baker All his nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. He had so many work buddies from Alberta to Newfoundland. He spoke so proudly of you all. Especially Dana Sheppard and Terry Park . Thank you all for making his job so pleasant. Thanks so much to Kelly Culleton and Wanda Duke for their love and care during his time of need. We can’t forget his love for the Bruins, this year you will have a front row seat watching them bring the cup home again. Enjoy, my love. Flowers greatly accepted or donations to be made to the Fox Harbour community center, in which he loved to call home. Visitation will take place at Coombs Funeral Home on Tuesday from 11:00 - 9:00 and Wednesday from 10:00 - 12:00. Funeral Mass to take place at Sacred Heart Church, Fox Harbour on Wednesday at 1;00 p.m.,
