Obituary of Mary Hickey

Passed peacefully away at the Placentia Health Care Center in the presence of her loving family, Mary Hickey (Lake) of Dunville, NL age 89 years. Predeceased by her parents James & Laura Lake (Hynes), husband Fergus, sons Tony and Wilf, daughter Cindy, granddaughter Cindy, and brother Willie Pad Lake. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her devoted family who will miss her dearly -- sons Mike (Muriel), Ben (Mary), Duce (Pam), Butch (Diane), Loyola (Annemarie), Randal (Eileen), Max (Glorina), daughters Kathleen (Camillus Gambin), Mary-Lou, daughters in law Joan and Marjorie, brothers Gerald Lake (Betty), Jim Doug Lake (Mary), sisters Ida Hickey, Margaret Noftall, Anna Gaulton, Imelda Kennedy and Sandra Ward. Nan will be sorely missed  by her grandchildren - Todd (Charlotte), Tim (Erin), Chris (Renee), Craig (Rhonda), Jonathan (Amanda), Scott (Natasha), Marcus, Mason, Ryan, Leif (Travis) & Jennifer Hickey, Laura Hearn (Matthew) and Julie Button (Matthew), Glenn Power (Roxanne), John Power (|Kim), Mary Jane Carter (Glenn), Aundrea Picco (Rick)Jacqueline Edemfield (John) as well as 26 great grandchildren. six great-great grandchild and her furry friend Cuddles. "Mudder/Nan" made a profound and lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her door was open to everyone and the kettle was always on. She will be missed.  Resting at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia on Monday from 7:00 - 9:00 and Tuesday from 2:00 - 9:00.  Funeral Mass to take place on Wednesday, October 25 at St. Anne's Church, Dunville at 10:15 a.m., with interment to follow in Coombs Memorial Cemetery, Southeast.  Donations in her memory may be made to Heavenly Creatures @ http://www.heavenlycreatures.ca/  You are welcome to visit and sign our online guestbook@www.coombsfuneralhome.ca
