Obituary of Elizabeth "Betty' Mary Flynn (nee Downey)

It's with great sadness our family announces the passing of our dear mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt. Betty passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family on Monday, December 12, 2016. Elizabeth (Betty) Flynn of Colinet, St Mary's Bay aged 70 years. Predeceased by her husband Doug, parents Cyril and Clarice Downey, grandsons Douglas and Nathan, twin brother frank and brothers Bob and Martin. Leaving with fond and loving memories her partner Mike, sons Tim, Sheldon (Sandra), Robert (Kelechi), Rodney(Joan), grandchildren Meggan (Stefan), Jessica, Courtney, Dillon, Taylor, Shontelle (Walter), Brandon, Cody, great grandson Parker, brothers Cyril (Louise), Phonse (Barb), Calvin (Marie), Clyde (Sam), sisters Maude (Bruce), Verna, Clara (Ross), Marg, Angela and a large circle of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. A special thank you to all the nursing staff at the Waterford hospital for their compassion and care towards Betty for the last two years. Visitation will take place at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia on Thursday December 15 from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Funeral Service will take place at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia on Thursday December 15 beginning at 3 p.m. Inurnment to follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Placentia.
