To Daddy and Mommy and all the Family, especially Collin and his mom, Veronica. I was so sad to hear about Junnie. Since I was little, I have enjoyed his company. You could always be guaranteed of one thing: Junnie never said a bad word about anyone. Also, he was fun. He did lots of tricks. He loved kids and he stole their attention in a crowded room. Last Fall, I visited home and Junnie came to visit every night for tea. There were lots of phone calls back and forth since. Junnie always talked about Collin; he loved him and was so proud of him. When I talked to him in January, he told me that this Christmas past was the best he ever had. Veronica, I am so happy that you took Junnie into your home during this time and until he went into the hospital; we are all so grateful; you are a wonderful person! There will be stories shared for a long time. How nice that we can all look back with fond memories. How nice that we all have Collin. Collin, I can't wait to meet you and share some stories. I would have loved to be there during this time, and in my heart... I am. My warmest regards to everyone. God Bless! Gailene, Juergen, Madison and James. Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.

Dad, Mom, Colin, & family; You are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. If there is any consolation, it is in the memories that we all have of this wonderful person. 57 does not suit someone who undoubtedly discovered the fountain of youth and lived everyday accordingly. Everyone I know, young and old, loved Junnie; he was a rebel child with a heart of gold. I am sure there are lots of stories being shared of the infamous Junnie Tobin; some good, some bad, but all entertaining. In all of our minds and hearts he will live on as a legend. No more suffering, no more pain, in a better place you remain. Love Gina & Siobhan

To Mom and Dad and the Tobin Family, know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers during this trying time. I can only imagine the stories that are being shared this weekend, given that you are bidding farewell to an amazing person. The life and times of Junnie Tobin would make a great best seller. Perhaps it could be aptly called, When you Says Junnie! He was as good as he was bad, and that covers a lot of territory! My memories of Junnie encompass everything from wheel wrenches to easy bake ovens. There are few people who can boast the feats that this guy has experienced. I don’t think there was anything that he would not do for you. He was always there to help out and if you managed to be graced with his presence he was a good conversationalist, not to be confused with conservationist for he liked everything poached!! Last night I was explaining to the boys how Ship Cove was very quiet in comparison to the metropolis of St. Brides, and how just when you would fall asleep, in the stillness of the night you would hear Junnie and Bertie coming through the gate and over the board walk practically tip toeing past the windows, trying not to wake up the house. Often fuelled by a liquid courage they would make some snide whisper about the night’s adventures and that meant laughter would erupt and wake the whole cove. Junnie’s classic response, whether he was up to eye balls in trouble or basking in the glory of a job well done was always the same, “that’s nothing sure”! Looking back, nothing ever fazed him. I was privy to many chats between Junnie and my dad, and no matter what way the night unfolded they all woke up in the morning as if nothing ever happened, the blessing of family. If there is one thing that Junnie tried to teach me that I failed miserably at, it was the art of whistling. He was the master of that one. As you celebrate Junnie’s life, may you find comfort in knowing that the pain and suffering are over. Treasure the memories of a great guy. Oh the stories we could all tell... Martin, Sandra, Jonathan, and Clayton Careen Abbotsford, British Columbia.

To all who loved Junnie: I think the last time I saw Junnie was at your wedding Maureen. What a torment he was that day. He was a merciless tease. I have always had a chuckle to myself ever since when I would think of him. How many people can say they were able to bring a smile to someone's face. I know that time changes lots of things, but it has never changed all the history our families have shared. Know that your sorrow is our sorrow. All the suffering Junnie has endured, has certainly earned him an eternity of happiness. Just remember your Mother and Father were there to greet him and I am sure Dad was part of the welcoming committee. May your fondest memories be your greatest consolation.

What to say and where to begin.... I've covered alot of ground and met many people in my life but not many like Junie. It seems as if it has been a lifetime that we've known one another but in actual fact is only been about 15 years or so. I am glad that we met,the laughs we shared, the miles we drove and the cards we played and of course the home made pizzas I cooked and we ate!!! I only hope that wherever you are, Rover is there, that you always got one and that every day is like the one we spent in Gooseberry. Colin and ALL the family, my deepest sympaties. Fred Wiscombe

We are sorry to hear of Junnie's passing. It seem's like yesterday I was talking to Junnie but as I think back it may be 15 years ago. I was in on the Newman Partridge hunting late in the evening and heard shots and a covey of birds came my way. I fired at them as well and never turned a feather. When I walked up and seen who drove the birds I realized it was Junnie. We had quite the yarn. What I remember most was his sense of humour. I know this time is difficult but he is now a peace.

Dear Junnie, It is with great sadness that I am writing this; From when I was a little girl until now, I have always known & seen how brave you were. These past few years has been a testiment to that. Most people can only pray to have a fraction of your strength & courage. When you lived with us in Patrick's Cove and again with Mommy & Daddy in Foxtrap, though under different circumstances, you were always the same. A warm, friendly smile followed by a scarcastic remark of some kind of course!! I've heard manys a story over the years...both good and bad! But I always enjoyed listening to them no matter what. All interesting to say the least...and I'm sure there are hundreds that will never be told, haha. We hated to see you go Junnie, but knowing that you were headed straight into Nanny & Poppy's arms is comforting. I'm sure that Nanny's cup of tea & her raisin tea buns were some good after all this time! Our little boy will soon be here & we would have loved for you to get to meet him. We do know that he will have his own guardian angel now to watch over him, forever! Love & miss you, Niece Tracy & Ray, xoxo
