MEADE, Elizabeth Ursella (also known as Mimmy)- June 29, 1925 - October 17, 2010 It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of our dear loving mother, Elizabeth Ursella Meade. Though she fought her long term illness bravely for 2 years, she succumbed peacefully and gracefully in the presence of her loving family. Predeceased by her husband, Stephen in 2004 and her son John in 2009. her parents, Mary Jane Newman & Vincent Newman, brothers Joseph, Michael, John and Vincent and sisters, Angela, Pauline & Marion. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children, Edward (Bridget), Theresa (Charles), Helen (Kevin), Magdalen (Ray), Mary (Paul), Albert (Marion),Madonna (Edward), Andrew (Imelda), John-predeceased (Doris), Gerard (Marie), Anthony (Debbie), Veronica (Greg), Pauline (Bill), Daniel (Geraldine), Lucy (Linbergh), Stephanie (Randy) a large number of grand-children, great grand-children great-great grandchildren whom she adored, hersisters, Margaret, Veronica, Imelda & Mary and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia from 12 noon - 10 p.m. Monday, Oct 18th & Tuesday, Oct 19th. A mass of celebration for her life will be held at St. Theresa's Church, Ship Harbour on Wednesday, Oct 20th, 2010 @ 11:oo a.m. Interment to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Ship Harbour. Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation to the Children's Wish Foundation may be made in her memory. The world has lost one of the greatest ambassadors for Christ and a true Christian mother & friend who demonstrated a genuine love to us all and to all who knew her. She accepted everyone as her own and endlessly gave her all and her smile was for everyone. To the world, she was our mother and to us, she was the world.
