Paddy's passing has been a time of sorrow but also a time to reflect on the many wonderful memories we shared as a family. Paddy was a man of great faith, a hard honest worker, someone that could laugh at himself, and a friend to both young and old. It puts a smile on my face to read your stories about Paddy. He was a storyteller himself with 92 years of life experience, good and bad.....born in 1917 he saw so many changes in this world and meet so many friends on his journey. I feel honored to have known him and am so pleased to see your kinds words and condolences. On behalf of my mother Regina and my siblings "Thank you all".

We would like to pass on our condolences to Paddy's family. We have many memories of visits with him, both in Pt. Verde and in St. Bride's. The many heads of cabbage, sometimes by the sackful, were greatly appreciated! Paddy, may you rest in peace!

P.J. Doyle J.P. has definitely left all of us with great memories of a legendary man. Paddy, as he was affectionately known by many, will always be remembered as a wonderful neighbour, confidant, historian, gardener, and story-teller. Paddy spent a lot of time at our home in St. Bride's, and we never tired of listening to his stories about the fastest horse around, the trips he made to buy JUMBO, and the joys and perils of running the local fish plant. Paddy could spin a good yarn, and share a hearty laugh. It has been a long time since Paddy sat with us as we wrote a paper about the Dirty Thirties in Outport Newfoundland, but his recollection is still very vivid in our minds. Over the years we have become accustomed to receiving annual Christmas cards and calls from Paddy, and we will miss him. Regina and family, please find comfort in your memories of Paddy. Truly, we were all blessed by his kindness. God Bless.

I was so sorry to read of Paddy's passing. Although I have not seen in him many years, I have often thought of him, with memories of a true gentleman. We spent the summers in St. Bride's at the fish plant with my father (Walter O'Brien) and Paddy was a constant fixture around our place. My parents thought so highly of him, and certainly respected his work ethic. He would entertain us in the evenings by playing the flute and telling stories. I'm sure he will be missed.

Please accept my condolences. I often accompanied my father when he visted the fish plant in St. Bride's on business. Mr. Doyle, an honest and good man, ran an efficient and honest ship.
