Angela and family, our condolences on Pat's passing. I have fond memories and will treasure them. I always thought of the Pomroy family as family. Your family was always so good to mom (especially taking her to church and bingo) and in later years, "watching out for her". She had a special place in her heart for all the Pomroy's. They are all up there now having a grand old time, I'm sure. Living across the street from all of you was a blessing. We'll never forget your kindness. Our thoughts are with all of you right now. Pat was such a gentle man, he'll be missed. Keep strong. Rest in Peace, Pat. God Bless. Hildegarde Ryan and Kenny Brennan

To all the Pomroy family. Pat was a dear friend to Dad, they had many wonderful games of cards and lots of laughter while playing and probably cheating as well. It was with sadness and a deep sense of loss that I learned of Pat's passing. Like his Merasheen stage, he appeared timeless and indestructible. For me he represented what is central and vital to the core of Merasheen- faith, roots, cooperation, hard work, tenacity and pride of place. He was a good man, a great fisherman and a respected elder, near the last of his generation from Merasheen. I'll miss seeing him there. My condolences to the family.

Condolences to Angela and the entire Pomroy family. When Bill Ennis (Marge's brother) stopped me in the corridor at work yesterday to tell me the news of Pat's passing, I was floored. Like many Merasheeners, I immediately felt the loss of another cornerstone of our native home. It was so great to see him & Angela in Merasheen every summer even if I didn't get to speak to him. This past summer I was so glad to greet him on the wharf with a handshake after just getting ashore for his couple of weeks in the Jawbones. Last summer, myself & my friend Shirley brought them a fresh crock of bakeapple jam from the Ragged Point and we sat in their little homestead and chatted with a couple of beers he offered. I recall Pat & my father Dick laughin' their heads off some nights in Merasheen when the juice & the fun was goin' good.

Mrs. Pomroy and family; Please accept our sincere sympathy and condolences on Mr. Pomroy's passing. A true gentleman, it was always a pleasure to have a chat with him either on Merasheen or while tending his boat at Placentia. Just a few years ago I helped him cast off from the breakwater as he and Mrs. Pomroy had an early morning departure for his beloved Merasheen. As I watched this 80+ gentleman steer his skiff out "the gut" I marvelled at his zest for life, and took comfort in the fact that a life well lived is its own reward. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers at this time.

Our hearts are heavy this evening and we feel your pain as you grieve the loss of a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. This past Summer we dropped by to say hello in Merasheen. It was 11'oclock in the morning and Pat was having a little tot, enjoying the view in what he knew to be the best place in the world. He requested I join him, regretfully I declined. I wish I had done it different. Please accept our heartfelt sympathy on your loss. He was a gem of a man, a true gem and sadly it is the end of an era in Merasheen. God bless you all during this sad and difficult time.
