Charmaine and family, and the Wakeham family. So sorry to hear of Ray's sudden passing. Myself(Alverna)shared the same birthday with Ray. Even though it has been many a year since we have crossed paths, I always think of him on this day. We used to have quite the chuckle over having the same birthday. The road is going to be a long one, but thinking of him in happy times will help ease the sorrow. My thoughts are with you all. God speed

To Charmaine and all of the Wakeham family: my deepest condolences to everyone that has been touched by Ray's wonderful personality and love of life. Ray had been a presence in my life since I was nine and we were both at his sister Phyllis' and my Uncle Eddie's wedding. We had attended many parties together since, and Ray bound everyone together through song and stories. I especially loved the Eagles tunes he belted out. He will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace Ray.

Friend of mine - Has gone away - Like a light from yesterday - Lost in space - Somewhere they say - This friend of mine -- He could sing - Like a child - A mother's dream - So sweet and mild - Or big and mean - Loud and wild - This friend of mine - His voice is still - Like the night - Rustling winds - Of angel's flight - Take him home - To the light - This friend of mine --- RIP Ray!

I was deeply saddened to hear of Ray's passing.Growing up in Jerseyside just a year apart in age,we shared in a few misadventures together. Ray was a very warm and genuine person, free of all pretense. He loved to laugh and sing in the company of family and friends, and they loved him for it. His enthusiasm was infectious and life-affirming in its grasp of the things that really matter in this world. He was taken much too soon, but his life was rich and fully lived. My heartfelt condolences to the Wakeham family and to Charmaine and her family. Rest in Peace, Ray!

My sincere sympathies to Charmaine and family and to the Wakeham family: I was shocked and saddened to hear of Ray's untimely passing. Many have mentioned his love of music and song - which was so much a part of who Ray was. I remember him singing "Who Has Seen the Rain?" back in the day - and his harmonica abilities (whether he had a harmonica or not!)He was a great conversationalist who never shied away from a debate (a man after my own heart)! He will certainly be missed. Farewell Ray.
