Obituary of Ellen Patricia Dohey

DOHEY (nee Sampson) Ellen Patricia (Pat), formerly of Argentia, passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on February 22, 2015 in her 81st year. Predeceased by her husband William J., her parents, Patrick and Ellen Sampson, two infant daughters, her siblings Theresa Fowler and Monica Byrde and daughter in law Beverley Green. Leaving to mourn and celebrate her life: Bill and Joanne, Philip and Angela and their son Jeffrey, Patrick and Brenda, Mary Lou and David Collins and their children Andrea, Michael and Katie, David and Linda, Paul and Mary, Ann Marie and Michael Provencher and their children Ava and Nicholas, Brenda and Jerome Tobin and their daughter Nancy, sister Maria Mattei and family, special friend Margaret Hickey as well as many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Throughout her years mom was an exemplary loving wife and mother. As the true matriarch and heart of our family, she was happiest when surrounded by her loved ones. Mom was devoted to her faith and served Holy Rosary Parish in countless ways throughout her life. Mom lived life on her own terms right to the very end and is now reunited with her husband and our Dad, Willie. We will miss her. The family thanks the medical and nursing staff at the Emergency Department, on 7 West and in the ICU at St. Clares Mercy Hospital for their professional and exceptional care of our Mom.
