Clarence was a lighthearted and joyful soul who seemed to always take great interest in the people around him. He was particularly good with words and his effortless ability to weave and wind them into a poem to relate a story was always quite fascinating and very entertaining indeed. Rest in peace Uncle Clarence, you will be missed.

It is with heavy hearts that we just found out about Clar's passing...too late to attend his funeral. Clar was a wonderful man who was a great friend and neighbor to Kevin's family when they lived in North Harbour years ago. We always visited him whenever we were in North Harbour. Our sincere condolences go out to each member of his family. May he rest in the arms of the angels.

It saddens me to think that I'll never here "Hello Shelly", or see him draw another schooner or boat. It is with my deepest heartfelt sympathy I send to my condolences to his family, and the wide circle of friends. He will be greatly missed.

Clar, you were quite the storyteller, with attention to detail. Whether we bumped into you in St. John's or John's Pond you would spin up a good yarn. We will miss your visits to our camp site wherever we go next. John's Pond or the south side of North Harbour will never be the same. Due to work we are unable to attend your wake or funeral but rest assured we will visit your graveside often. Deepest Sympathy to your family. Rest easy my friend, you have certainly earned your wings.
