King, Rita (nee Griffiths)-- July 6, 1943 - March 8, 2012 -- Passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family at Toronto East General Hospital, Toronto, on Thursday March 8, 2012, Rita King at the age of 68 of Scarborough ON (Formally of Ship Harbour, Placentia Bay). Predeceased by her son Billy (Junior) in 1984, her Mom (Eileen Griffiths - 2008) and Dad (Stanley Griffiths - 1980). She leaves to mourn with many fond and loving memories her loving and devoted best friend Lloyd Codner, her precious and treasured sons, Reggie, Lorne, Chad (their families), her Grandchildren and Great - Grandchildren. Also leaving to mourn is her Newfoundland family, her brothers and sisters (Leonard, Anita, Ethel, Stan, Ann, Till, Ralph, Con, Carmel, Evelyn and Elsie and their families) and many other relatives and friends both in Toronto and Newfoundland. Resting at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia, on Friday March 16 from 10 - 1 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to take place at 2:00 p.m., Friday March 16, 2012, at St. Theresa's Church, Ship Harbour.
