Yvette, Please accept my sincere condolences with the passing of your Dad. Oh my I was certainly saddened to hear this sad news. I met your Dad through your Mom while your Mom and I were teaching some 20 years ago in Little Grand Rapids Manitoba. After teaching I maintained a friendship with your Mom for many years until her sickness but stayed in touch with your Dad. Your Dad certainly loved all of you so very much!! To all of David's family, extended family and numerous friends, we offer our sincere condolences on the passing of a rare and wonderful man. We were shocked to learn of his passing, and find it difficult to imagine that such a larger than life human being is no longer among us. With his wit, wisdom and charm, David was always a delight to chat with, and a joy to listen to. We will miss the roar of his Harley, and we will remember him fondly! Rest in peace, Tiger! Condolences to your family. So many summers meeting David on the road on his Harley. A big wave as we knew each other by our motorcycles. Always thought he was a cool dude for his age. Sorry for the loss of a vibrant man. Worked hard for his family.

David started my love of trucks when I was a kid as he pulled up to my parents house in a brown Chevy step side pickup with smoke stacks. I was hooked from that moment on. When I got my first pickup over 30 years ago I was out to visit David and he gave me a 8000 lb Warn winch off his woods rig. He told me “you have that as I won’t need it, I will never get stuck”. I still have that winch to this day on my pickup. David was always my cool uncle. I will miss the chats about diesel pickups. Rest in peace. Thinking of all you guys. Glenn and Noelle Tobin

Liz, Yvette, Rodney, Clyde and mom’s siblings: when I think of Uncle David I smile. Growing up we had many chats around his kitchen table over a cup of tea. He loved to see company and made me feel special. He was so good to my Justin when he was sick with cancer. You never knew what he was going to say, kept you on your toes and loved to talk about the young crowd getting ahead in life. Oh he loved that Harley and kept it shining. He was such a hard worker and was loved by the crowd at Harvey’s. I was so excited the night I saw him at my friend’s 80th bday party. I was so glad we had a dance and our picture taken together. Such precious memories to hold on too. Sending my love to everyone and will be there to celebrate his life with you all. Rest In Peace Uncle David.

To David's Family, I send my sincere condolences to you all. During my trips home over the last few years I got to know David pretty well. He was a great friend to mom (Julie McGrath) and I loved to tease him about his "high heel biker boots" when i would see him. He was so nice to me when I was home and he always had a tale to tell, although not always true, he kept us entertained. He is united now with your mom and I hope he's taking his Harley Jacket and high heels with him. I will certainly miss him when im home again. Rest In Peace David.

To all David’s children and extended family, my sincere condolences. David came to daddy’s wake only a few weeks back and stayed chatting with us for quite some time. and it was lovely. After the tears have dried and the goodbyes are said, all we have are the happy memories that we’ve shared with our loved ones. Praying they comfort you in this difficult time.
