Obituary of Eliza Priscilla Matchett

Eliza Priscilla Matchett, March 5th, 1945 - November 24th, 2024; passed peacefully away at the Dr. Leonard A. Miller Centre on November 24th after a short but courageous battle with cancer at the age of 79, surrounded by her family.
Predeceased by her parents Fred and Dorothy Barrett, sister Gertie Bruce and husband Bern and sister-in-law Glenda Barrett.
Survived by and lovingly remembered by husband Reginald, daughter Marilyn (Andy) Larner, son Fred King (Stephanie), son Winston (Kara) King, brothers Nathaniel (Marguerite) Barrett, Fred Barrett, Max (Linda) Barrett and Eric Barrett, grandchildren Mitchell Larner (Katie), Amanda (Andrew) Larner, Stephen (mother Rhonda) King, Hudson King and Kendal King. We would be remiss without acknowledging how much they appreciated the support and blessings of all of their camping friends, especially the washer gang at the Golden Arm campground. You all were a major part of Reg and Eliza's lives.
In keeping with Eliza's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a service at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 2nd at St. John the Baptist Church, Whitbourne. Reception to follow at the church social center. Funeral services entrusted to Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia with a private family inurnment to follow at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Eliza's memory.
