Obituary of Marsha Elaine Duke

Please share a memory of Marsha to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Passed peacefully away at her home in Southeast, Placentia on October 31st, 2024. Our brave and beautiful daughter, Marsha Elaine, age 48 years. With a lifetime of precious memories to cherish, she leaves to mourn her parents, Jack and Stache, as well as her beloved dog, Lily. Marsha was born in Ontario, moved home to NL at aged 3, not knowing the journey that lay ahead, but faced each battle with courage and strength. After high school, Marsha attended Memorial University and completed a B.A. Degree and a Criminology Diploma. She was a published author of a wonderful children's book and she excelled in the art of cross-stitching. She loved doing puzzles and painting and had a deep appreciation for reading and writing. Marsha also loved nature and all its creations. Five months ago, she began he biggest battle of her life. Again, in Marsha style, she faced it all with determination and her positive attitude. She is pre-deceased by her infant brother, Curtis John; grandparents, John and Ellen Duke and William and Sarah Murray; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Also leaving to mourn, a large circle of family and friends, including fans of her book as well as her Messenger friends, who brightened each and every day. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia.
