Eugene Patrick Coffey--February 16, 1958 - September 1, 2024 Eugene passed peacefully at home surrounded by his family as he wished. Eugene fought a courageous battle with cancer and never gave up. Predeceased by his parents Aloysious and Catherine Coffey of Cuslett, his brothers: Shawn and Melvin and his precious son Eugene, nephew Joey and his niece Valerie. Leaving to mourn his love, Liz, son Peter (Robin), daughters Candace (Kenny), and Jenine (Brady) his 6 grandchildren: Lilly, Alex, Joseph, Luke, Lorne and Mary, his brothers: Wish(Annette), Gary (Terri), Ray (Dana),Joe (Jenny), and Sheldon, his sisters: Yvonne (Eric), Jackie (Norm), CathyAnn, Caroline and Kim, brother in law Junior Moore, sisters in law Denise Head (Edward), Christine Tremblett and Susie Owens, and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Eugene was happiest when he was a fisherman along side his father and his brother Wish. He was a jack of all trades, always there to help everyone, he was a kind and gentle man that showed his family how much he loved them all everyday of his life. Eugene was surrounded by great people in Freshwater and Cuslett. He was always grateful for his friends, especially the visits and chats with his buddy Brian, Tasha and Amanda, we're sure he's doing the Newfie Stomp in Heaven. Thanks to Dr. Robert Power and the nurses of the Placentia hospital for the great care Eugene received during his illness. Everyone went above and beyond for him, and he appreciated so much "as did his family". Cremation has taken place.
