Obituary of Joan Cochrane

Joan (Caul) Cochrane passed away peacefully on July 22, 2024. Joan was an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Predeceased by her husband John, mother Mary, father Patrick, daughter Margie and great grandson baby Elijah. Joan is survived by loving family: sons John (Maxine) Paul (Loretta), son -in-law Eric, son Brian (Alana), daughter Joanne (Jamel), 8 grandchildren Shannon (Caroline), Scott (Jenny), Justin (Kayla), Amy (Manny), Jillian (Brad), Colin(Kelly), Adam and Shane, 7 great grandchildren: Finnley, Charlie, Lilah, Jacob, Nicole, Micah, and Miley ,and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Joan enjoyed socializing, crocheting, dancing and gardening, but her greatest joy was her family. She had many friends in the community, especially Phoebe, Anna Bride, Harold, Anne, Brian, Sandra and Irene. The family extends a special thanks for the care and dedication shown by the staff at Placentia Health Center, especially Dr. Robert Power and the nurses, as well as heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the Carbonear Hospital for their care during her final hours. The family would like also to thank TLC Homecare and Caregivers. Resting at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia on Wednesday & Thursday from: 2:00 - 4:00 & 7:00 - 9:00, and Friday from 11:00 - 12:00. Funeral Mass to take place at St. Anne's Church, Dunville on Friday July 26, at 1:00 P.M. "A mother's Love is a blessing"
