November 15, 1941 - March 21, 2024
With broken hearts the family of Sheila Anne Mulrooney (Jardine) announce her sudden passing at the Health Science Center on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at the age of 82 years. She was born in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia but spent most of her life in Freshwater, Placentia Bay, NL.
Predeceased by her son Dennis, her husband Thomas, parents Mable and Wallace Jardine, brother Wayne Jardine, and brother-in-law Paul MacNeil.
She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughter; Theresa (Fred Parsons), sons: Wayne (Fay), and Tommy (Suzanne), grandchildren Krista (Billy Fleet), Kayla (David Tibbo), Stephen (Melissa), Stephanie (Nick Johnston), Jenna Pittman, Hailey Pittman, great grandchildren: Madison, Parker, Nathan, Hayley, Olivia, Anthony and William, brothers: Grant Jardine (Kaye) and Melvin Jardine, sister Mabel Jardine MacNeil, sister-in-law Doreen Jardine, special friends Marg Griffiths, Linda Caul, Molly Joy and Christine Lockyer, and an extended loving family of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Sheila enjoyed playing bingo with friends, walking on the beach, listening to music throughout her day and singing her favourite songs. Also, she thoroughly enjoyed visits with her grandchildren. She thrived on and often bragged about her home maintenance skills with small household upkeep.
The family would like to thank her home care workers, staff at the Placentia Health Center, Health Science Center staff and all those in community that supported her in her time of need and allowed her to live in her home comfortably.
She was well respected in the community with a kind and generous heart which touched the lives of many. She will be missed by all that had the privilege to know her.
Visitation will take place at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia on Monday, March 25 from: 2:00 - 9:00.
Funeral Service to take place at Coombs Memorial Chapel, Placentia on Tuesday, March 26 @ 10:30 a.m.
Interment to take place in Coombs Memorial Cemetery, Southeast.
