Obituary of Bill Greene

Please share a memory of Bill to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with deep and profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Bill Greene on May 17, 2022, age 61 years. Bill- a great husband, father, poppy, brother, son, son-in-law, nephew, cousin, friend, neighbour, teacher, coach and so much more. Predeceased by parents Sonny and Madonna Greene, mother in-law and father in-law Jerome and Colette Hunt, brother in-law Jimmy Hunt and sister in-law and brother in-law Geraldine and Gerard Murray. Bill was a humble and private gentleman A dedicated teacher for 30 years. he devoted countless hours not only teaching but coaching , mentoring, inspiring and cheering on students. He loved all sports and tried to instill a love for sports and activities in all kids. His work ethic was constant. His work was never done because when his day was done, tomorrow’s plans were being made. Being super organized he left nothing to chance. Just as much as he loved teaching, he loved working at Hickey’s greenhouse especially in the Fall at wreaths and decorations. As a neighbour, Bill couldn’t do enough to help out. He shoveled many driveways and mowed a lot of lawns- and usually all before dawn! Always the first to think of others and lend a hand where possible. His family was everything. His wife Geannie,“Gean”, as he so affectionately called her was his best friend. Bill was so very proud of his children. His grandchildren were his "pride and joy”. He followed their every move and attended all their sports events and activities. Bill was so connected to all members of his family, taking an interest in their lives and events and always being there. He showed respect for everyone. His empathy was outstanding. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife Geannie of 34 years, daughter Crystal (David and his children Tyler and Caitlin), son Jeff, daughter Allison (Josh), his precious grandchildren (Jorja, Riley, Mason and Marcus), sisters Liz (Gabe), Barb (Johnny), Juanita (Greg), Edwina, Wilma (Denis), brother Stephen (Trina), Sisters in-law Annie (Lorne), Linda (Leo), Cathy (Greg)and Juanita, as well as a large circles well as a larger number of nieces and nephews, extended family, and many close neighbours, friends and co-workers.
