With broken hearts and a lifetime of love, we announce the passing of our mother, Ellen Rose Leonard, formerly of St. Leonard's, Placentia Bay, August 28,1921 – March 15, 2022. Predeceased by her parents, Mary Margaret (Rodgers) and James Leonard; her husband, James Leonard (Sr.); her beloved sons - Charles, Gerard, and Martin; her sisters, Julia, Mary Pittman, Anne Follett; and her brother, Edward. Leaving to mourn her children, Mary (Dick Healey), Jim (Donnie), Tom (Theresa), Louise (Dan Mulrooney), Harold, Alverna (Peter Flynn), and Wayne (Pam); her daughters-in-law – Bride and Shirley. Mom has twenty-one grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Thank you to our angels here on earth who took care of mom – Theresa and Harold. We also thank her home-care workers – Nicole and Loretta.
