To The Roche Family,
Please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of your mother. Mrs. Theresa had an extraordinary life spanning an epic length of time. I am on a first name basis with all of the family having been born in Branch and attended school there. My wife, Sharon(Stapleton) remembers visiting her grandparents, Mr. Nick and Mrs. Belle English, who were next door neighbors of Johnny and Theresa in Branch and being welcomed at their table with bread and bakeapple jam. Mrs. Theresa was a kind and caring person. Hold your memories of her close in the days to come.

My sincere condolences on the passing of your mom, it seems like the longer we have them we love, the harder it is to let go.
She sure lived along and wonderful life and was such a wonderful person. Loved to visit her in Branch and when she'd come to Placentia.

Marg and Josephine, thinking of you both as you mourn the passing of your much loved and gentle mother. Mrs. Roche used to be my neighbor and I always found her to be a kind and loving person. We were sad to hear of Aunt Theresa's passing yet grateful for her long well lived life and the legacy she left behind. Aunt Theresa always had a smile and a warm welcome for everyone. There are so many wonderful memories of seeing Aunt Theresa at Nanny Power's and listening to them laugh and tell stories about growing up in Point Lance. Ed has fond memories of Aunt Theresa's kindness from his days hanging out with Dion in Branch. Mom always said that Aunt Theresa's positive outlook was the key to her long life! May she rest in eternal peace!

Roche Family: We offer our deepest condolences on the passing of your mother ,grandmother, great grandmother and great- great grandmother. To approach her 104th birthday and be able to do so as an independent person of good health is a feat truly worthy of celebration. I first met Mrs. Roche when Fatima High opened in 1968, and Donald was part of our first Grade XI class - Grade XII had not yet arrived - a relationship that continued until Stella graduated from school. Like all our parents of that time, Mrs. Roche wanted her children to be able to embrace the changing times and saw education as a means of doing just that. Her own life had seen many changes - born during World War 1, she lived through the Great Depression of the thirties, World War2, and Confederation with Canada - just to mention a few. While most of us study history , she was part of it's making. It is sad, given the immediate conditions of our time, that it is impossible to give proper recognition to the passing of such great people. As you celebrate her long and wonderful life and mourn her passing, know that our thoughts and prayers are with you.
