Obituary of Gordon Edward Power

Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family at the ICU Health Science Centre, Gordon Edward Power age 73 of Point Verde, Placentia, formerly of Ship Harbour.  Predeceased by his Mother Josephine and his father Sebastian, brothers: Herb and John and sister Elizabeth.  He leaves to mourn his Partner and Guardian Angel, Ellen, his daughters: Patricia and Lisa (Jason Jackson), his granddaughters: Maya and Lyla, whom he loved dearly, son: Ed (Pam), grandchildren: Elizabeth and Edward, whom he loved dearly, brothers: Jim (Matilda), Ray (Madeline), and Kevin (Marge), sisters: Jane (Johnny Rowe) and Dolores.  Left with a lot of sadness his second family: Kim& Glen McFarlane, Mark & Sheila, Peter and James, and he dearly loved Ellen’s grandchildren: Brandon (Ashley), Peter, Kirsten (Eric), Amanda (Bradley and great grandson Karson) and their mother Glenda , special nieces Shelly and Charlotte Rowe whom he loved dearly, all his bus driver buddies, our special neighbours: Philip & Angie Dohey, Clarence & Linda Greene, his childhood friends: Kevin Power, Brendan & Florence Spurvey, to his buddies that he chatted with : Bill Fillier, Jack Meade, Petey Foley, Howie Culleton, Tom and Brendan Whittle .. We say Thank You, and a large number of other nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends especially his buddies Bella and Charlie .  Resting at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia on Saturday, March 23, from 2:00 - 9:00 and on Sunday from 12:00 - 2:00 .  Funeral Service will take place at Coombs Memorial Chapel on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at 2:00 p.m., cremation to follow.  No flowers by request.  Donations to be made to the Lung Association in the name of Gordon Edward Power
