Obituary of Elsie Josephine O'Keefe

Passed peacefully away at the Placentia Health Care Center on February 7, 2019 after a brief illness surrounded by her loving family and friends:  Elsie O'Keefe age 80 years of Placentia.  Predeceased by her parents Elsie and Joseph Greene of Long Harbour, brothers Joe and Cecil,sisters Mary Rose Norman and  Rita Crowell, parents in-law Arthur and Philomena O'Keefe, brothers-in-law Francis Nash, Ed Greene , Bill Norman, and Robert Crowell and two special nieces; Perpetua Collins and Kelly Greene. 

Leaving to mourn her devoted husband of 59 years Art, her children Michelle Glover,(David), Yvonne Mullaley (Fintan), Shawn, Juanita and Scott (Vanessa), 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, brothers:Puis (Yvonne) and Frank:, sisters, Loretta ( Bill Collins), Marion (Tom Griffiths), Sylvia (Paul Kelly, deceased), sisters in law,  Loretta Nash, Mary Greene, brother in law, Bill O'Keefe (Bride) ,  special sister in law, Mary Cecil Greene and a large circle of other relatives and friends.  

Our Heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Placentia Health Care Center for their compassion and dignity in caring for our wife/ mother  during her stay, and to Mom's dedicated homecare worker Linda Lake we say. "Thank You"

Visitation will take place at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia on Saturday from 2:00 -9:00 and Sunday from 2:00 -  4:00  and  7:00 - 9:00 

Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday at Sacred Heart Church, Placentia at  10:30 a.m. with interment to follow in Coombs Memorial Cemetery.  

 

Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation in Elsie's memory, may be made to the Alzheimers Society or Down's Syndrome Society.
