Obituary of Elsie McGrath

Passed peacefully into Eternal Rest at the Health Sciences Centre, surrounded by the love of her family on January 6, 2019, Elsie McGrath of Patrick's Cove.  Predeceased by her parents, Charles and Lucy Coffey, parents-in-law, Ignatius and Genevive McGrath, sisters-in-law: Bernadette Cahill and Maureen McGrath, brother-in-law: Ignatius Jr. and son -in-law Paul Judge.  Mourning her passing are - her devoted husband of 51 years, Dominic McGrath, daughters - Jackie (Frank), Joyce (Jason), Denise (Dion), and Diane (Ryan), son Dominic (Terri-Lynn), her beloved grandchildren: Katie, Jennifer, Adam, Michael, Victoria, Zachary, Hailey and Logan, brothers: Jim (Bernadette), Pat (Christina), and George (Rosella),sisters:  Rose (Hubert) and Mae (Gerry), brothers-in-law:  Ambrose (Nellie- a cherished friend of 50 years), Gilbert (Sheila), Kenneth (Margie), Benedict (Darlene) Cyril (Elizabeth), Reggie (Jane), Brendan (Agnes), Joseph (Jackie), Calvin and Alfred (Mary), sisters-in-law:  Wilhelmina (Johnny), Genevive (Vivian), Vera (Jerome), and Betty (Herb), and a large circle of relatives and friends including special friends:  Keith Careen, Shawn Noseworthy, Ted and Marie Walsh.  Resting at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia on Monday from 7:00 - 9:00 and Tuesday from 11:00 - 9:00.  Funeral Mass to take place at St. Patrick's Church, Patrick's Cove on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m.  Interment to follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Patrick's Cove.  The family expresses it's sincere gratitude to Dr. Connors, his medical team and the nurses and staff of the Coronary Care Unit of the Health Sciences Centre, Father Gerry Roche- R.C. Chaplain-  HSC, and the staff of the Placentia Health Centre for the professional and tender care shown to our Mom over the past several days.  May God Bless you all. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations can be made in her memory to Diabetes Canada.
