He was always in good humour, so kind and always had that beautiful smile.for all he met. -- I have fond memories of him and Marie, especially at the restaurant. Children were treated so kindly there and with great patience. My condolences to his wife,Theresa, his precious children and grandchildren and extended family. He will be missed greatly and remembered so very affectionally by all who had the good fortune to know him. Rest in God's Glory and Peace,Billy. So sad to hear of Billy’s passing. I worked for him at his snack bar for about three years when I was a teen and was a friend when I lived in Argentia. He was a very kind and considerate man and a great employer. He always had a smile and seemed to be always in good humour. Other employers could learn how to treat their employees from his example. Condolences to all his family. Rest In Peace Billy.

To the family and friends of Mr. Pendergast, my sincere condolences. I have nothing but fond memories of this gentle man. He was our mailman for as long as I can remember, always going above and beyond what the job called for. I would leave fifteen cents with my letter in the mailbox and Mr. Pendergast would leave my three cents change and a little note assuring me he put a stamp on there for me. Always up for a chat and quick with a joke. “You’ll want to open that one; pretty sure it’s another love letter”. Rest In Peace good Sir, you brought many a smile to many faces.

Always liked spending time around Mr. Pendergast with my best friends, Bill (son) and Wayne Shea, when we were kids. Always kind words, trips to the Shore, an occasional treat and swimming at the Point with a story to tell and a few jokes along the way. I always thought he knew how to let kids be kids. I guess you can say we had fun around the Pendergast's Home.
