Pittman ,, Passed peacefully away on January 25, 2014 at St. Clare's Hospital, St. John's in the presence of her loving family Annie J. Pittman (Conway) (nee Careen) of St. Bride's age 94 years. Predeceased by her parents Nicholas and Margaret Careen, her first husband William Conway 1994, her second husband Ignatius Pittman 2006, brothers; John (Nellie, deceased), Edward (Stella, deceased) and Patrick, and sister Margaret Power (Ambrose, deceased). Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children Bill (Carmel), St. John's, Ann (Cecil), St. Vincents, Linda, Labrador City, Edward (Berniece), Labrador City, Josephine (Wayne), Wareham, and Paul (Kim), Labrador City, 15 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, her sister Theresa Roche (John, deceased), St. John's, step children Paul Sharr (Angie), St. John's, Jean Lacey, St. John's and Michael Pittman, as well as a large number of nephews and nieces, and other relatives and special friends. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of 4 West, St. Clare's for their wonderful care, understanding and devotion to Mom, during her stay with them. To Father Leo English, a special thank you for your visit and for praying with mom, and thank you to all who brought food to our house and to the hospital. Resting at Sacred Heart Church, St. Bride's, on Monday January 27 from 6:00 - 9:00, Tuesday January 28 from 10:00 - 9:00 and Wednesday January 29 from 10:00 - 12:30. Funeral Mass to take place on Wednesday January 29 at Sacred Heart Church, St. Bride's at 1:00 p.m., with interment to follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Bride's. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia. Because of her life long devotion to St. Teresa and our Mother of Perpetual Help , flowers greatly accepted or donations may be made in her memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Ronald Macdonald House.
