Obituary of Donna Power (Dicks)

Donna Power (Dicks), passed away peacefully on August 29, 2026, surrounded by the devoted love of her family and closest friends. She is reunited with her beloved husband, Jim; her parents, Stan and Maude; and her dear sister, Betty. Donna’s greatest pride and whole world was her daughter, Kerri, son-in-law, Robin, and her adored grandson, Simon, who was without question the light of her life. She is also lovingly remembered by her siblings, Alvina (Leo), Ken (Laura), and Ron (Melda), along with her cherished nieces, nephews, extended family, and a wide circle of friends across Dunville, Fort McMurray, and Roaches Line who truly became family. To know Donna was to be welcomed by her. A natural hostess with a generous heart, she found pure joy in gathering people together, making sure everyone around her was comfortable, laughing, and above all, well-fed. The most important thing in Donna’s world was making certain that every person in her life knew just how deeply they were loved and valued—a devotion returned to her tenfold, seen in the constant stream of visitors and full rooms of loved ones by her side until the very end. She gave love unconditionally, turning ordinary days into celebrations and making everyone in her presence feel like family. Her warmth, humor, and open door will be forever missed by all who had the good fortune to know her. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia. Visitation to take place at Coombs Funeral Home, on Tuesday, September 1st from 4-9 p.m. and on Wednesday, September 2nd from 10 am - 1:00 pm. Funeral Service to take place on Friday, September 4th at 2:00 p.m. Inurnment to follow at Coombs Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of formal floral arrangements, and in keeping with her wishes, the greatest gift is simply sharing a fond memory or performing an act of kindness in her name.
