Sweeney, Albert Joseph, (Dec 3, 1966 – May 28, 2026) It is with great sadness that we have to say goodbye to a dear Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Son, and a Good Friend. With a long battle of sickness, Albert passed at Oshawa Lakeridge Hospital, Ontario on Thursday, May 28, 2026. Predeceased by his parents Leonard & Selina Sweeney, and his grandparents Patrick & Anne Sweeney, and Michael & Agnes Brewer. Also, predeceased by his brother and best friend, Lenny Sweeney. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: Wife - Lana Sweeney, Daughters – Jessica Sweeney & Amy Sweeney, his grandson and Poppy’s pride and joy, River Sweeney; Sisters, Marion King (Kenneth), Agnes King (Dave), Dianne Mayer (Duane); brother Kenneth Sweeney (Leone) and a large circle of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends. Resting at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia on Saturday, August 15, 2026, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Funeral Service to take place at Coombs Memorial Chapel on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. Following the service, Inurnment to take place in Coombs Memorial Cemetery, Southeast, Placentia. “His Legacy Lives On.”
