n Loving Memory of Michael Gerard Kelly December 26, 1959 - August 4, 2026 After a courageous battle with cancer, Michael passed away peacefully on August 4th, surrounded by the love of his family at the Placentia Health Care Center. Predeceased by his parents, Thomas & Anne Kelly; sisters, Geraldine & Mary; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Frank and Hattie Brown; sisters-in-law, Jean Kelly, Ann Brown and Joan Kelly; brothers-in-law, Don Brown , Richard Pittman, Gordon Power & Pete Kerrivan. Leaving behind, his cherished wife of 35 years, Gladys Kelly, whose love, strength and unwavering devotion never faltered. She carried him through life’s greatest challenges, giving him comfort and unconditional love every day. As well, leaving to remember all the beautiful memories are his two children, Michael (Ocean) and Kerri-Lynn (Jamie); his precious grandchildren, Madison, Katie, Kasen, Kobe and Sterling; sisters, Ellen, Judy, Linda (Brent), Beth (Ernie); brothers, Jack (Donna), Ralph, Tom and Bill. Loved ones close to his heart, who were more like brothers, Charlie Pittman and Allan Kelly and brother in law Fred Brown, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Born and raised in Fox Harbour, Michael found his greatest peace in the outdoors. He loved spending time in the woods, camping, trouting, and just enjoying the simple pleasures of nature. He treasured time spent sharing stories, laughs, and drinks with his buddies. Above all else he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who found his greatest joy in spending time with his children and precious grandchildren, creating memories that will be cherished forever. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff who provided compassionate care during his stay at the Placentia Health Care Center. Visitation to be held at Coombs Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 5 from 2pm-9pm and Thursday August 6 from 10-2pm. Funeral Service to take place at 2:30 pm in Coombs Memorial Chapel followed by burial at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Fox Harbour. While our hearts are broken by his passing, we are grateful for the time we had with him and have peace knowing that he is no longer suffering. Loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
