My deepest sympathy to Gertie’s children, sisters and brother Mike and families on your loss. She never changed, was always the same person with the same smile anytime I met her. She had a great personality with a little sass added to it. She always had a sincere interest when she asked, how are you and I always felt that from her. Rest in Peace Gert!

Dear family of Gert, we are sorry for your loss. I will always remember her as a very hard worker and a wonderful volunteer in the community when catering for community events were needed. She always treated people with respect and loved to have a lil chat along the way. Rest peacefully lovely lady, your work on earth is complete.

To the Duke Family, the Murray Family and the good people of Fox Harbour who knew her and loved her. As a teenager growing up in there - Gert worked in the pool hall that I hung out in on weekends - She always had a smile, a kind word and a wink for me. She was like that. She probably never even knew how moments like this had a lasting memory for that kid. She was sweet and easy going with a reputation of a hard working woman that did it all with very few complaints - its easy to see why she will be missed. Rest in peace Gert

Condolences to the Duke and Murray families. My best memories of Gert is when she was working with mom in the club. We bartended together a couple of summers when I was in university. She said I did a good job cutting up the onions for the snack bar. We had a few good laughs. I’m sad she is no longer in this world. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. May she rest in peace.

My condolences to all the family of Gert, she was a wonderful person and I will never forget her kindness and how she gave up her Dr's appt for my mom when my mom ended up going to her Dr's appt a day early.
