Obituary of Henry Brewer

Please share a memory of Henry to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Henry Brewer: July 3, 1951 - June 30, 2026 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of a dear husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many. Henry passed away on June 30th, 2026 at the age of 74. He is predeceased by his father and mother, Richard and Fanny Brewer; brothers, Tom, Pad, Richard (Dicky), Jimmy Francis and Willie Michael; his niece, Roseilla; mother-in-law and father-in-law, James and Jose Kerrivan; his dear friends, Gerard and Madonna Ryan. Leaving to mourn is his wife of 50 years, Mary; his children, Darlene, Joey (Camille), Rodney and Jeff (Jennifer);grandchildren, Sheldon (Megan), Dylan (Sarah), Kaitlyn, Hailey, Jake, Megan, Jaxon, Henry Jr., Makayla and Ava; great-granchildren, James, Piper and Greyson; his brothers, Ron (Diane) and Joe (Regina); brothers-in-law, John (Monica), Gord (Cathy) and Gerald; sister-in-law, Lorraine (Pad) and a large number of nieces, nephews and dear friends, especially, the Traverse family in Ferndale; Nick, Wayne and Dominic Traverse and Ambrose McCarthy. One thing about Henry, is that he loved his neighbours, and they loved him. They always helped each other over the years, in good times and bad. Henry grew up in Davis Cove where he fished and worked on the boats. He eventually made Ferndale his home with his wife and raised their family. Henry worked for many years at the Long Harbour ERCO plant where he made many friends and provided a good life for his family. Henry was a kind soul who would give his shirt if it was needed. He loved like no other. When it came to his grand kids, there was nothing under the stars that he wouldn't give to them or do for them. That included Little Nikki, who he loved like one of his own. The last few years, Henry had some health issues, but that never slowed him down. He was up and at it everyday either going up on the roof or driving Mary around to yard sales. Henry was a man of many words, wisdom, knowledge and stories that we will cherish forever. The love lost is immeasurable. But, so is the love left behind. Thank you to Coombs Funeral Home for their compassionate care during this difficult time. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia. Visition on Thursday, July 2 from 11am - 9pm; Friday, July 3 from 11am - 9pm; Saturday, July 4 from 10am - 1:00pm.
