I didn't know Mike well but my father [Anthony McGrath] and Mike's Dad Mr .Mike were great friends over the year's and had many fishing conversations usually while in Placentia Daddy would visit him and they enjoyed each others company.
May family and friends embrace all the beautiful memories as you navigate through at this sad time.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Mike's passing. At 63, it still feels far too soon to be saying good-by to someone so young.
I will always remember Mike for his sense of humor and his old-timer personality. Even as a child growing up, Mike had the wisdom of a man much older than his own years. When Mike asked you "how are you today", he genuinely wanted to hear from you. He was a caring person. You are in my thoughts and prayers as you bid farewell to your brother/uncle. May Mike’s memory be a blessing for you all in the difficult days ahead. May he rest in peace.

R.I.P. Mike ....... Mike was our 2nd mate in our food fishing adventures.... he was a compass on fogy days and our fish finder on good days. he always got the biggest fish every day and gutted the fish on way home and fed the gulls.. it was a fun 6 yrs and you will be missed in the boat from here on in ..we will allways remember and talk about you for yrs to come. rest easy my friend oh and ill have a knife and bucket in the boat at all times
