Obituary of Michael Corey Agate

Please share a memory of Michael to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Passed away peacefully at his home on May 21, 2026, Michael Corey Agate, of Placentia, age 48 years. Michael is now reunited with his family, who predeacesed him, especially; his mother, Barbara Agate, sister, Tracy Agate, his grandmother, Jean Greene and grandfather, Augustine (Gussie) Greene and his beloved companion, Willow. He leaves to mourn with treasured memories, his loving wife Cathy of 26 years; his children, Justin (Christa), Meghan Bowker (Sam), Tim, Michael (Brittany), Matthew (Jeneva) and Benny; his precious grandchildren, Jayden, Katie, Oliver, Claire, Miles, Jayce and Grayson. He also leaves to mourn, a number of aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, especially his aunt, Angie Dohey and nephew, Andrew Williams (Brandi); his very special friends, Paul Barry, Sean Short and Robert Small, who were like family to Michael. Michael was a hard working person, having worked for many years as a VOIP Engineer for TTech Digital. He was proud of his work and made friendships with his coworkers, most especially Eric and Jason. Michael was knowledgeable and creative and loved to share these qualities with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed woodworking, time in his workshop, music, and playing his guitar. He was known to be a great pool player and he loved spending time on the river with his boys. That is what he treasured most; the time with his family. Family was everything to him. Not only a loving and supportive husband, father and grandfather, he was a friend, a mentor and therapist to all. He was faithful, selfless and kind, giving to others in need and asked for nothing in return, especially praise. His family would like to acknowledge and thank the First Responders; the paramedics, police and the volunteer fire fighters, for their quick response and tireless attention to Michael. Your respect and compassion will never be forgotten. Special thanks as well to Coombs Funeral Home for their respectful service to our family.
