Obituary of Theresa Taylor
Please share a memory of Theresa to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Theresa Taylor, at the age of 82, of Placentia formerly Red Island, on April 24, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories and a family who loved her deeply.
Predeceased by her parents, Peter and Cecilia Kerrivan, her brother Peter and sister Veronica Lannon.
Leaving to mourn are her children: Shawn, Dixie, Lonnie, Nellie - whom she always called Sis (Walter), Billy (Marcia) and her sister Florence Chesney. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren will also deeply miss her presence.
Theresa was a strong and independent woman, known for her resilience and her unwavering spirit. She lived life on her own terms, and that strength carried her through many chapters of her life. Those who knew her, will remember her for her presence, her determination, and the way she stayed true to herself coupled with her quick-witted humor that would make anyone laugh. She brought beauty to the world tending to her plants with patience and care of which she was immensely proud. She also found comfort and purpose in knitting, creating pieces that reflected her creativity and childhood days in Red Island, reading thousands of books or keeping herself sharp by doing word puzzles.
She lived to love her children and never missed a chance to express that. She was a kindhearted person and genuinely wanted to help everyone. She taught us the importance of family, love, and laughter. Theresa was a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, whose impact will never be forgotten. She is lovingly remembered by her family who will carry her memory with them always. She was a beautiful soul, inside and outside, and the people that knew her were truly blessed and better for it.
In her final days, she was surrounded by love, care, and concern from those who loved her, both near and far. The family is grateful for the support and compassion shown during this difficult and challenging time, especially from her sister, Florence Chesney.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia. A private Celebration of Life will be announced later to honor Theresa's life and legacy.
The Lord replied, "My precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried You." From the Footprints in the Sand poem
