Obituary of Greta Sherrard

Greta Sherrard (Greene) - January 17,1947- March 27,2026, age 79 years. It is with heavy hearts, that we say good-bye to our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife and sister. Greta passed peacefully away on March 27th, 2026 at the Beachside Manor, with her husband Arnold and family, by her side. Predeceased by her parents, James and Theresa Greene of Point Verde, her daughter Charlene, her sister Mildred, her brother James (Henner) and infant grandson. Leaving to mourn her loss, her husband of 59 years, Arnold; her son Steve (Loretta) and daughter’s Arlene (James) and Stephanie; sisters, Elsie, Rose, Barbara (Mario), Charlotte (Vito), and Ethel; her granddaughters, Krystal (Don), Danielle and Jessi (Nick); grandsons, Shane, Aiden Jr. (Christine), Andrew (Brittany), Stephen Jr., Nathan (Jade), Michael (Nikita) and Darrin; her great-grandchildren, Kaiden, Kailee, Donald Jr., Scarlett, Peyton, Ellie, Noelle, Hayden, Mary and Shannon. Her special niece, Michelle, who was like a daughter to her, and special friend, Carley Fiander along with numerous nieces and nephews; she loved them all, and a large circle of family and friends . Greta was an exceptional person, a bright spot in the lives of everyone who was lucky enough to know her. She was strong-willed and determined; but always endeavored to overcome obstacles. Greta was a kind and gentle soul. She had a great love of music, dancing, and having a good laugh. Thank you to Gearldine and Dan and the Staff at Beachside Manor especially Liz, Cathy, Lisa, Gerri Anne, Theresa, Francine, Wanda and Maureen. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia. As per Greta’s request, there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 18th, 2026 at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #33 in Placentia from 4:00-7:00 pm in the small end.
