Ralph Joseph English It is with heavy hearts that the family of Ralph Joseph English announce his passing on March 7, 2026, at the age of 77 years. Ralph was born in Branch, Newfoundland and Labrador. Predeceased by his parents, Peter and Alice English; brothers, Kevin (Lavinia), Edward and sister Catherine. Ralph was also predeceased by his beloved son Leon, who's passing just 18 months ago, deeply broke his father’s heart. Leaving to mourn with many fond and loving memories are his wife Margie, son Dwayne, daughter Vanessa and her husband John Paul; his cherished grandchildren, Kathleen, Mary, Brody, and Georgia. He also leaves to mourn his siblings, Dermot, Leonard, Jane, Adrian, and Mary, along with a large circle of extended family and friends, including the mothers of his grandchildren, Roslyn Manning and Lori Coombs. Ralph was known for his strong work ethic, quick wit, and wonderful sense of humour. He had a special gift for making people laugh and was someone who could light up a room with his stories and personality. Throughout his life he took great pride in his work and was a long-time member of the Labourers’ International Union, Local 1208. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia. The family will be leaving the Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 10 at 3:00 p.m. to go to Holy Rosary Church in Branch. Visitation will take place at Holy Rosary Church on Tuesday, March 10 from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m., and Wednesday, March 11, from 10:00 a.m.– 9:00 p.m. A Prayer Service will be held at the Church on Wednesday, March 11 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place on Thursday, March 12 at 11:00 a.m., followed by Interment at Holy Rosary Cemetery, Branch. Ralph will be forever loved, remembered, and sadly missed by all who knew him.
