Obituary of Jack Maher

Passed peacefully away at the Placentia Health Centre on January 21, 2026, Mr. Jack Maher, of Fox Harbour; age 82 Years. Preceased by his wife, Jeanette (Kelly) Maher, his parents, John and Elizabeth (Kelly) Maher; brothers, James and William and his partner, Lorraine Lockyer Celento. Leaving to mourn is his son, William; granddaughter, Erica and his good friends, Tiffany Hepditch and Kimberly Vere-Holloway along with his in-laws, the Kelly family of Fox Harbour; as well as other relatives and friends. Jack was a long term Mayor of the Town of Fox Harbour, a former Fire Chief for the Town of Fox Harbour and a Past President of the Placentia Area Development Association. Jack was interested in his town and gave his time to helping to provide opportunties for future development and advancement for his community. He will also be missed by the many people who knew him during that time. Funeral arrangments entrusted to Coombs Funeral Home, Ltd., Placentia. Cremation has taken place. A Funeral Service will be held at Coombs Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment to take place at Coombs Memorial Cemetery, Southeast, Placentia.
