Obituary of Kevin Francis Tobin Jr.

Kevin Francis Tobin - November 21, 1960 - October 17, 2025. It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kevin Francis Tobin, age 64, of Patrick’s Cove. Kevin was a heavy equipment operator by trade who worked many years in Alberta, returning to Newfoundland in 2007. As a youth, Kevin was a lover of the outdoors; he would spend many hours/days hunting, fishing and camping in the country. Kevin also loved listening to music and in recent years was known to belt out a few tunes with Alexa as his lead. As much as Kevin loved the outdoors and music his greatest love was for his children, Crystal, Johnathan and Sally and treasured grandchildren, Tobias and Darius. To say that he was a proud Poppy would be an understatement. Strongminded, resilient, determined and spirited are all words that come to mind when we fondly think of Kevin. Leaving to mourn are his children, Crystal (Eni), Johnathan, Sally; grandchildren, Tobias and Darius; siblings, Jerome (Brenda), Raymond (Annie), Gordon, Randy, Eric, Anita and Rosanne (Harvey) as well as a large circle of family and friends. Kevin was predeceased by his parents, Kevin and Bridget Tobin, who are now waiting to welcome him Home. The family would like to thank the staff of Lions Manor Nursing Home for their care and compassion with Kevin while he was a resident there. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 21st, 2025 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, October 22nd, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church in Patrick’s Cove. Interment to follow at St Patrick’s Cemetery, Patrick’s Cove.
