MUGFORD, Bride – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear Mom, aunt, friend, grandmother and great-grandmother, Bride, on October 8th, 2025, at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, St. Johns, in her 97th year, of Dunville, Placentia Bay, NL.
Predeceased by husband Abe, infant daughter Bernadine, daughter Patsy, brothers Harry Hunt and James Hunt, son-in-law Gary Lynch, sisters Eileen Ryan, Josephine Hunt, and Angela Power.
Leaving to mourn her loving and dedicated family, daughters Debbie and Madonna, sons Bob (Kim), and Harry. Also, leaving to mourn, her grandchildren Silvya (Dave), Sharon, Courtney (Beau), Stephen, Matthew, and Cassandra (Tanner); also great-grandchildren Andre, Ronzae, Andrew and Owen; and also her special nephew, Tommy (Tracey), NB., and many other extended family members and friends in Newfoundland and Ontario. Special recognition to God-Daughter Rosemary Cahill, lifelong friend, Lorraine Kaczmarczyk, long-time Nurse Practitioner, Darlene Neville for her professional and outstanding care over the years, and personal hairdresser, Maggie Murphy.
Resting at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia, on October 12, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with Mass to follow at St. Anne’s Church in Dunville, on Monday, October 13, at 12:00 p.m, with Father Roche, Celebrant. Interment to follow at Coombs Memorial Cemetery, Southeast Placentia.

We would also like to thank the staff at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, 7th Floor West, for their outstanding care of our Mom with special acknowledgment to LPN, David Slade, for his professional and personal care of our Mom. Also special recognition to daughter-in-law Kim Holtzworth, for her loving attendance to Mom at all times during Mom’s hospital stay.
Mom was a quiet and gentle woman. She loved her family tremendously and devoted her entire life to caring for her children. Mom’s loving and kind way of living will be followed by those who knew and loved her and held in our hearts forever. An inspiration to all of us throughout our childhood and adult lives, she is forever in our hearts. We will continue to cherish the memories and the love she had for us. Rest in peace Mom. We love you. So long and God Bless.
