My condolences to Art’s family and friends on his passing Myself and Art spent a lot of time together as kids salmon and trout fishing, playing hockey, rabbit catching skating and everything we did as kids.My deepest memory is when we set some snares over in the naps and while checking them one day we came across a rabbit in a snare which wasn’t our snare. We discussed and looked all around and made a decision to own that rabbit.Art had Uncle Arthur’s fish knife with him and forgot the knife by the snare. When we discovered the knife missing we headed back to retrieve it and we met a very irate man with Art’s knlfe in his hand(no name) and after a scary discussion we decided to forget the knife and run with the rabbit.Art ended up with a rabbit and Uncle Arthur wasn’t pleased about losing his knife. Not an honest thing to do and we never told anyone.I have so many memories of Art and he was my friend.Rest in peace buddy we will meet again no doubt about that and maybe the rabbits will be more plentiful up there (but we will catch our own not steal it) Later

To the Nash family:
I was deeply saddened to learn of Art's death. We first met while working together at the Clarenville Correctional Centre where we shared a great work relationship and a friendship that carried on outside of the institution. I have many fond memories of our adventures together while snaring rabbits, all filled with his quick wit and good humour. Art was quite a guy! Please accept my sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy.

To the Extended Nash Family:
My sincere condolences on the sudden passing of Art. There has been a long association between the Nash Family and our Browne (Mooneys-Nashes) Family. I would never pass through Branch without making a visit to say hello to Art. Art was one of the kindest and most sincere persons I know. He was also a very proud and highly professional Correctional Officer. Regardless of Art's sickness and health challenges, he always remained so positive, sincere and caring. He so loved Branch, but now he is out of his suffering and we pray that God will give him the true peace he deserves. Art and Family, you are in our thoughts and prayers. Sincerely.........Gary (and Paula) Browne
