So sorry to hear of Florence’s passing. I’ve known Florence my whole life and we shared many fun times together. Our teenage years were filled with fun and devilment. We rowed in the regatta together, we didn’t win but we had a great summer practicing very early in the mornings and every evening after supper. Florence was an amazing woman. Sincere condolences to all the family.

Pad, Corey, Michelle, Travis and families, so sorry to hear about Flo's passing! She was one of my closest friends when I lived home in Placentia. I'm sad to say I haven't seen her in years. I spent many hours and cups of tea at the gas station with her. She was one in a million. She was funny and spoke her mind. No back doors for sure. I admired that about her. She loved her family very much and did what she could for them. Keep your memories close, and Flo will always be in your hearts! I hope you take comfort in knowing she is at peace with Joe, Marie and the rest of the family gone before her. Heartfelt sympathy to you all! Rest peacefully my beautiful friend!

Oh my dear Flo. I remember when you worked at the Gulf station. Being a young teenager; I was actually afraid of you. I would think to my self “ if she gets mad look out. .”
Little would I know that years later you would become a very important part of my life.
You welcomed me into the family when I met Freeman, and I could then see another side of you. When people were good to you you gave it back 10x over.
You never took any crap from anyone, no holding back.
You would always say “ Sure what odds what anyone else thinks.”
You were one of a kind.
Gonna miss ya girl.
XOXO

I was saddened to hear of Florence’s passing. My mind wend immediately to the days when she sold Avon. When she came to Mom’s to drop of our orders, it would be her last stop for the night. Cups of tea, Rothmans cigarettes and lots of laughter followed until the wee hours of the morning. Long Chats had down at the BA when she pumped gas at her father’s garage no matter the weather. In the bitter cold of winter or the balmy summer nights Florence was there. She will be forever remembered for her sense of humor and her kindness. May she rest in peace. Thinking of her family during this time of loss as they were the most important thing in her life.
