George Francis Ennis of Southeast, passed peacefully away at the Placentia Health Center on May 11, 2025 at the age of 82 years. Predeceased by his loving parents, Michael and Eliza; brother, Michael Jr. and infant siblings, Ron, Jean and James; sisters-in-law, Patsy Ennis and Leona Hutchings; brother-in-law, Alex Hartson and members of the Power family. Leaving to mourn, his loving wife of 58 years, Doreen (nee Power); daughter, Yvonne (Rudy), son Craig; grandchildren, Eric (Vicky), Victoria (Cherise), Brenda (Jordan), Rae-Lynn, Kiana (Devin), Madison and Morgan; great-grandchildren, Gracie, Kai, Levi and Thomas; sisters, Lucy, Gertie and Maryanne and brothers, Ron and Lar; sister-in-law, Mary Pitcher and brother-in-law, Ron Power. Also left to mourn, his nieces and nephews, with special mention to Janine Wadman and Denise Griffin, who were there with him at the end of his passing; his cousins of the Ennis and Pitcher families and other family members and special friends. Thank you to the nurses at the Placentia Hospital for their kindness and compassion during George's short stay. George was born and raised in Merasheen and his heart never strayed from the island he loved. He spent every Summer and Fall there after his retirement. He was an avid bird watcher, a huge Toronto Blue Jays and Montreal Canadians fan and he was always ready for a discussion about politics. "With restless stirrings of the blusterous season of dying and the leaves of crimson and gold continuously flying, performing their task through time without malice or mirth, I go with them now and forever be one with earth". George F. Ennis As requested, cremation has taken place and ashes are to be spread on his beloved island of Merasheen. There will be no visitation or Funeral Services.
