Obituary of Shirley (Had) Lannon

Lannon - Shirley (nee King), affectionately referred to as “Had” by close family and friends, passed peacefully away at her home in Southeast, Placentia on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. Shirley/Had was 81 years old. Predeceased by her loving husband of 48 years, Nick Lannon Sr, her parents Frank and Mercedes King and her brother Freddie. Leaving to mourn are her sons Brian (Corinne), Nick (Kim), granddaughters Tyra and Brooke, who she cherished with all her heart; Step great-grandchildren Leah, Ryan, Peyton, Asher and a large circle of family and friends. Shirley and Nick had a small store that all the surrounding area knew well. A lot of the young crowd used to hang out on the fence in front of the store. Shirley and Nick always loved to see them there. Anytime you asked Mom/Shirley/Nan/Had how she was feeling, her response was "all of a how". A common phrase used by a neighbour. She had old time sayings that she used, which we would have to get her to clarify. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Coombs Funeral Home. Visitation on Monday, April 21st from 1-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place in Coombs Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, April 22nd at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment to follow at Coombs Memorial Cemetery, Southeast, Placentia. Donations can be made to a charity of your choice in Shirley’s memory.
