There are so many memories I had with my poppy (Charile). But one of my favourites was when we would have movie nights while eating nans whole kitchen! We would snuggle up and have a great time.
I also loved when we would go out by the fire or the fire table. Him and Nan would always have a glass of wine. He loved when I sang for him.
I miss and love him so much❤️

Our sincere condolences to Daphne, children , grandchildren and all members of the Pittman family on your great loss of your loved one, Charlie. We remember him well and know that he was such a sweet and caring person. I (Theresa) remember him from when he was a student in my Grade 5 class in Merasheen in 1965-66, when he transferred back to Merasheen from Placentia for the remainder of that school year. May he rest in peace with all of the Pittmans gone before him especially Eugene.

In Loving Memory of Charlie
We lost one of our best buddies, and it’s hard to believe he’s gone. Charlie had so much more traveling to do, so many more stories to tell, and so many more good times ahead. He was an excellent dad to Liam and Sydney, a devoted husband to Daphne, and the best Poppy to Paris and Aubree.
He was always up for an adventure—whether it was trying out a new rum or wine, tackling renovations at the house in Florida with Karl, or making yet another run to Harbor Freight just for the fun of it. He loved sharing yarns from his days growing up in Merasheen, and you could always count on him for a great story. The late-night golf cart rides, the endless laughs, the mischief along the way—Charlie made every moment memorable.
I’ll never forget the fun times we had together. We’ll miss you so much ❤️❤️

I met Charlie in the late 70’s as we were both Millwright apprentices working at IOC in Lab City. We both left Labrador in the early 80’s. Our paths crossed many times over the years at many construction jobs only to meet at Terra Nova FPSO where we worked together for 20 plus years.Charlie was a very easy going, happy go lucky fella who gave us many laughs. He possessed a great work ethic. It never mattered if a job was big or small,
dirty or clean. He took it on regardless. He had his own personal master key to every toolbox onboard. One time he took a wrench from a toolbox and a guy said ,”that’s mine”. Charlie quickly replied in his usual witty way”Did you bring it out with you?”To Charlie we were one.
Sending sincere condolences to his wife Daphne, son Liam, daughterSydney, grandchildren, family and friends.
Rest easy Charlie my friend. You will be missed.
You were the best.

Charlie was a hard working and knowledgeable character who always had a smile on his face no matter how things were going. His positive jovial manner was uplifting to everyone who met him. When my wife Leigh Ann first met Charlie in Spain her words summed him up when she said to me after only a few hours : “ now that is one really nice man”.

sharing a room for most of that.
We even shared PPE, although embroidered with my name. Charlie often wore what was closest. Work gloves a personal favourite were commonly initialed by the original owner. Missing a pair I asked him about the “TA” handwritten on those he was currently wearing..:.Oh these are not yours! they are “Turn Around “ gloves!
Charlie’s work ethic was second to none, he worked so hard for so long it’s unfair that he couldn’t have more time with his family.
he taught me so much.
