Obituary of Mary Spurvey

It is with broken hearts that we say goodbye to our beautiful Mom, Nanny and GreatGrand Mother, Mary Spurvey (Griffiths).
She is predeceased by her husband Maurice Spurvey; son-in-law Michael O’Reilly; parents, Margaret and Anthony Griffiths; brothers Kevin and Martin; nephews, Rodney Griffiths and Matthew Griffin.
Leaving with beautiful memories; her children, Stella (Bill Davis), Maurice Jr. (Charlene), Margie O’Reilly, Darlene (Glen Earle), Wanda (Bob Duke); her pride and joy, her grandkids, Victoria, Matthew (Kelly), Valerie (Jamie), Stephen (Jenina), Kaitlyn (Aaron), Nicholas (Robyn), Jessica (Nathan), Marcus, Brandon (Angie),Mackenzie, Meghan; her precious great-grand children, Layla, Layne, Morgan, Blake, Oakley, Liam and Clara; and, her partner of 14 years, Herbert Murray and his children and grandchildren.
Also left with cherished memories; her brothers and sisters;
Matilda (Jim), Anthony (Violet), Bridget (Ned), Anslem (Ann), Cyril (Madonna), Adrian (Breda), Daniel (Till), Ambrose (Mary), Marion (Albert), Alphonse’s (Kathy), Pauline (Brian), Linda (Carl), Wayne (Dana); sisters-in-law, Helen and Priscilla and all her nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to the staff at the Palliative Care Unit at the Dr. Leonard A. Miller Center and 5 South B, HSC and especially to her niece Kelly Culleton and Martha Mccue.
Although it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please know your visits and kindness did not go unnoticed.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation to take place on Monday, February 24th, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Funeral Service to take place on Monday, February 24th at 2:30 p.m. in Coombs Memorial Chapel. Inurnment to follow at Coombs Memorial Cemetery, Southeast, Placentia.
